This One’s For The Children – New Kids On The Block

You wouldn’t be a boyband if you didn’t release a Christmas album and today we will be looking at a single that was off of one that the New Kids On The Block Released. Today’s Christmas single is from the eighties so lets have a look more in detail about it.

This One’s For The Children was a single released by New Kids On The Block on the 12th October 1989. The song was written and produced by Maurice Starr and released under the record label of Columbia. It was a song that was taken from the bands holiday album that was called Merry Merry Christmas. The single also had a B side called Funky Funky Christmas.

The single did relatively well in the charts and it went to number 12 in Canada, 7 in Ireland, 28 in Finland and 40 in Belgium just to name a few. In the United Kingdom it went into the chart at number 10. The single ended up becoming certified Gold in the US.
