Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Haneke Twins

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

We don’t have a single, but we do have a brand new mini-LP! Astronaut!

Your first single and how you felt when it was released:

We didn’t go for a single.. Our very first release was a 5-track EP and it felt great.. Amazing times, first time in the studio recording…

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

That’d be River. Very emotional. Deals about deep thoughts and suicide.

Your favourite song to play live:

That’d be Climb from our first EP. It’s just very energetic with abrasive melodies over haunting vocals.

Your most emotional track:

That’d be Speechless. In a more trip-hop vibe also..

The best lyric you have ever written:

“Crossing the borders, those horrid lines, go break their walls, throw back their mines”

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Oh.. Very mixed. First is a bit of anxiety and being nervous and as we go towards the end, this is being replaced by “crap, we’re at the end… Wish we had another hour”

The hardest track to play live:

I think we don’t have such technical tracks that are difficult to execute.. It’s more about the emotion to be right, so we’ll go with Deep.

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance yet for a tour.. We did mini-tours before covid, but with the current circumstances, we have to stay put..

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Pace is the trick by Interpol

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

That year is ending very soon, so only a couple of gigs… But the following will be definitely more interesting
