Welcome to the sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Toy Story 2.
If anyone asked me about what one of my favourite games was that is based on an animation, I would say Toy Story 2 for Playstation One would be at the top of the list. It is so good, I always wait for the day that Sony turn around and announce they are re-making it, even though sadly, I don’t think they ever will.
Toy Story 2 the game is absolutely amazing, It follows the story of the film and in different platform levels you explore different areas of the film – from the airport, the elevator, the toy shop and Andy’s back garden. In each level there are lots of different challenges that Andy’s toys set you and are relevant to your surroundings and the narrative of the film.
If you saw it now, you would say that the graphics are not great but back in the late nineties / early noughties they were pretty impressive.
It is such a fun game, I still have my version to this day and will play it every so often on the PS3 because luckily it plays those games. If you ever got a chance to play it, then do.
