Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

PHILADELHIA CHEESECAKE SNACK BARS

Today we are going to look at a product that the brand Philadelphia released ages ago and was discontinued. The Philadelphia Cheesecake snack bar was so popular they even have petitions online to bring the product back, Let’s take a look at why it is so popular.

In 1999, Kraft announced that they were releasing the Philadelphia Cheesecake Snack Bars. These were to be individually wrapped that could be enjoyed time and time again as a snack. In each box there are six individual snacks which came in a variety of flavours – strawberry, classic, chocolate chip and white chocolate raspberry. The snack bars had a biscuit base, cheesecake topping and then the flavour on top.

The bars were discontinued in 2003 but if you look online you will find many different recipes that try and replicate it.
