Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Down With The Trumpets

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Down With The Trumpets – Rizzle Kicks

It is a track thta even now is used a lot as a musical bed in a lot of television shows as it is so catchy. Down With The Trumpets was a single released by hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks on the 10th June 2011. It was a track that was written by Jordan Stephens, Harley Alexander-Sule, Dag Nabbit, Damen Lewis, Lylola Babalda and Will Davies.

The single was released under the record label Universal Island and produced by Future Cut and Mike Spencer. Down With The Trumpets was also the second single from the duos debut album that was called Stereo Typical.

The track did well in the charts and reached number 8 in the UK charts and number 2 in the UL R&B charts. This is a track that I used to find really catchy and it is one of those tracks that all these years later it is still being used as a backing track in television shows.
