When The X Factor Gatecrashed My Gig

I used to go to a lot of gigs when I lived in Newcastle as they were a lot cheaper then the South. One of the gigs I went to was a Christmas one where various musicians such as Olly Murs, Dappy and Ben Haenow were performing. I arrived after work and the outside of the stadium was really busy and I couldn’t understand why. There was camera crew, lots of lights and a huge coach and it was only when I walked up the stairs that I realised the show the X Factor was filming at the event.

The show was into the final 3 and the finalists had gone to the judges and their hometown to experience the random. Cheryl Cole is from Newcastle so she brought Reggie ‘n’ Bollie to be filled at the concert. The front of the stadium was filled with lots of huge floodlights and the XFactor tour bus. There was a crowd all around and cameras filming the reactions. I ended up walking inside away from the filming as I wasn’t really interested but it was fun to see the bus and everything.

The duo had a chance to perform a song on the stage as well that I think was recorded by the television show but was also part of the concert. They were good at performing live and actually brought a great energy to the stadium.
