Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first! Today we look at the brand new album by Sgmaniak that was released last week – The Global Heart Awakens
Prayers on Ice
This is the opening track on the album and it has this soulful electronic sound that is calm and slowly welcomes you to the world and works of Sgmaniak. The words of the song are very good at painting a picture of a world and they are placed in between these long electronic bursts of sound that create this really melodic creation. It is a nice song to kick off the album with.
Hometown Hero
This song has a real acoustic feel to it and it kicks off with this guitar melody that has a sense of nostalgia to it. You find with Sgmaniak that a key to his style of music is to gradually paint up a picture through his lyrics that allow you to enjoy the tracks even more and that is a really unique skill to have. Throughout this song the music composition slow builds that near the third of the way through the music feels like it has more of a body and you can hear all these different instruments play a key part.
Inner Joi
This song has a really interesting introduction to it that feels like it has jumped out of the eighties but with a refresh take. The bold electronic sound creates this dramatic set up for the song and this is backed up with this bassy drum beat that keeps the tempo of the track throughout the 4 minutes. It is very different to other tracks mentioned so far and this one feels a bit more experimental and plays around with the genres.
Rainbow
This song is the last track on the album andthe eletronic beat with this pacey drum beat creates a really uplifting feel to the track and the end of the album. The lyrics take you on a journey that have a sense of nostalgia to them which is a nice way to finish. It is a track that has a lot of elements of jazz with a mix of Sgmaniaks on style.
