Taste Of States – This Week – Spicy Chicken Nuggets

Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

WENDY’S SPICY CHICKEN NUGGETS

They are a product that are so popular at this fast food restaurant that they are returned for popular demand on more then one occasion and with a Wendy’s returning to the UK very soon maybe it will be something that we will maybe able to enjoy in the near future as well! Welcome to the world of the Spicy Chicken Nugget!

In 2019, Wendy’s announced that they were bringing back the Spicy Chicken Nuggets with popular demand after getting rid of them in 2017. Apparently it all came about when Chance the Rapper tweeted ‘Positive Affirmations for today: I WILL have a good day, I Will succeed today, Wendy’s WILL bring back spicy nuggets at some point please please Lord let it be today.‘ Wendy’s retweeted this tweet and replied “Y’all keep asking, so here’s your chance. The people in charge say if you guys can get our tweet (this one right here) to 2 Million likes, they will bring SPICY CHICKEN NUGGETS BACK. Let’s freakin’ do this!” and it got well over 2 million likes so they brought them back!

So what exactly makes these Wendy Nuggets popular with the public? Well the spicy coating is made up of nine ingredients including red pepper, chili pepper, mustard seed, and black pepper flake. The Nuggets could be bought in 4 piece, 6 piece or 10 piece boxes. Depending on what size you have depends on the calories and they can go from 190-470.

The Wendy’s nuggets have a really popular review and I think that it is really evident due to the popular demand of it. Many people say that they live up to the hype that are surrounding them as well.
