When you go on holiday, you want to find a hotel that is close to the centre of town but also allows you to enjoy your time and relax in a cosy environment. Well, in Bordeaux, there is a hotel that is right near the river, with easy access to transport to the centre of town that I am sure you are going to find the hotel that I am going to talk about today an interesting one that you can add to your future travels.

Hôtel Mercure Bordeaux Cité Mondiale Centre-Ville is located 18 Parvis des Chartrons it is right next to the river Garonne and is very close to the local tram. The 4 star hotel is hidden away by these modern and old building so it can be tricky to find initially but then you are welcomed to this lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and are really cosy and quiet as well. If you have a bedroom at the front of the hotel you can get some lovely views of old fashioned rooftops which are actually really pretty and quaint.

The place that I loved in the hotel was the breakfast room / restaurant, firstly because the selection is amazing and allows you to experience a little taste of France with all the regional products. However, the thing that blew me away was the view. You get this beautiful view of the bridges on the Garonne and it is worth every penny to stay here just to experience a view like that.

I visited this hotel in 2018 and I loved it, the staff are so friendly, the rooms are really nice and the view in the breakfast room was one of my favourites of the whole trip even if it was cloudy. We only got to stay one night and I really wish we got to stay longer as it was lovely, here’s to the future when I will be able to again.
