Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Stuck

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Stuck – Stacie Orrico

Today we look at a song that was around in the early noughties and was quite successful in the UK. Stacie Orrico released the single Stuck on the 6th March 2003, whilst it was from her second album, it was the first song of hers that had mainstream and chart success.

Stuck was written by Stacie Orrico and Kevin Kadish and it was released under the record labels of Forefront and Virgin. The song was also used in a Disney Channel Original Movie called Stuck in the Suburbs that was released in July of 2004.

The song did really well in the charts and went into the top top in Australia (3), Denmark (4), Netherlands (3), Switzerland (6) and New Zealand (3) just to name a few. In the UK, it ended up at position 156 in the year end chart.

I remember when this song was released and I actually enjoyed it, the track was very different to other songs that were around at the to time and I am surprised to read that it didn’t do that well in the UK charts.
