Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Sabriel

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

Fox in the Henhouse is my most recent single! It’s about how people project onto others when we avoid our own trauma and pain.

Your first single and how you felt when it was released:

I released my first ever single in 2011, when I was in high school! It was called Make Up Your Mind. I haven’t stopped since!

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

My first album is set to release later this year. My favorite song off the album is a track called Pulse!

Your favourite song to play live:

It’s been so long since I’ve played live! I haven’t played any of my new songs live yet, so I’m excited to find out which one will be my favorite!

Your most emotional track:

That track would definitely be Pulse. Out of my released songs, I’d say my cover of “Close To You” is my most emotional track. It’s dedicated to my momma!

The best lyric you have ever written:

Oh wow. I’m not so sure about that one! I’m curious to know how other people would answer that question!

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

The hardest track to play live:

I think this is another one I could answer at a later time. I hope that by the time I start playing live again, I’ll feel super rehearsed and prepared! I hope everything will come naturally and easily to me.

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

I haven’t toured yet, but I’d imagine I’d be lost without my journals!

Describe your fans in three words:

Beautiful, kind, magical!

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Orange Moon by Erykah Badu

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

You can look forward to more singles and music videos and a full album!
