Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first! Today we look at the brand new album by Joe Barbieri that was released in mid April – Tratto Da Una Storia Vera
Promemoria
This is a very jolly little song and has this really subtle guitar melody that creates this really melodic sound that is intertwined with these wonderful electronic sounds and brass instruments to create this track that reminds you of summer. For a song from a jazz album it is a chilled out vibe that is a delight to hear, near the end of the track there is this really pretty interlude which really highlights the brass instruments and allows them to have their moment in the spotlight.
Niente Di Grave
This song has this beautiful violin melody that opens this track and it leads into this really catchy track that is a pleasant to listen to. The fact that the violin keeps the pace of the track throughout makes it a very interesting sing and also sort of cinematic to listen to. Throughout the song you can hear a lot of emotion in this song that makes you want to listen to it over and over again.
In Buone Mani
This is another track that has a really cinematic feel to it and opens with this big and bold introduction that becomes not as prominent in the verses but create this beautiful painted picture of this world that Joe is singing about. Again, it has this real sense of a cinematic feel to it and it really allows you to go on a journey with the track . It also allows you to hear Joe’s voice in a different pitch as well.
