Gigstory – NKOTBSB and Up Close With Donnie Wahlberg

Welcome to a brand new feature that will be published every other week. I go to a lot of gigs and there are always little stories that come out of them that I always want to tell someone so what better place to do it!

Todays Gig: NKOTBSB and Up Close With Donnie Wahlberg

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to see backstreet boys live. I loved them as a kid and they’re famous for being so good at performing live shows. So when we were in Chicago in 2011 we booked tickets straight away as we were desperate to giant see them.

It was the Backstreet Boys joint tour with New Kids On The Block which seemed really exciting as back then there were not even dates for it to be in the United Kingdom. Even though we booked our tickets last minute we still managed to get four rows from the front of the extended stage which was so cool.

The whole gig was amazing and exceeded my expectations. They are so good live and it was an amazing experience especially seeing them in their home country. There was one thing that made me love his in America than the United Kingdom and that was that the band members came out into the audience. One minute the band were not really anyway where to be seen and then the next minute Donnie Wahlberg was standing tuft near us singing! It was so crazy.

It is definitely one of the best gigs I have been to and led me to seeing Backstreet Boys live again but we will talk about that another time…
