Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Jerk It Out

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Jerk It Out – Caesars

Today we look at a song that was used in the mid noughties on many advertising campaigns including iPod Shuffle, Nivea and Renault Megaine. Jerk It Out was released by Swedish Rock ban Caesers on the 7th April 2003. However, it was re-released in 2005 and 2006 to go with the popularity of being on certain media related content. The song was written and produced by Joakim Ahlound and released under the record labels of Virgin and Astralwerks.

Between the years of 2003 and 2005 the track did well in the charts, the highest position it reached in the UK was number 8. It went into the top 30 in Scotland, France and the US Dance Charts.

I always liked this song, I always found it really catchy, uplifting and unique. The introductions of the so is so distinctive that you instantly recognise it.
