There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Perfect Gentleman – Wyclef Jean

Today we look at a track that was the third single that was released from Wyclef Jean’s second studio album The Ecleftic! 2 Sides II A Book. Perfect Gentlemen was released on the 9th July 2001, it was written by Jerry ‘Wonder’ Duplessis, Wyclef Jean and Hope Harris. The track was released under the record label of Columbia.

Throughout the song it cites Chris Rocks spoken word piece ‘No Sex (In The Champagne Room) which was a track released by the comedian originally in 1999. The track also features a guest verse by the rapper Hope Harris.

The song did really well in the UK Charts and went straight into the charts at number 4 and it stayed in the charts for 20 weeks. The song also went into the top 10 in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Norway and Ireland.

I remember this track and found it pretty interesting to listen to as it had a fun musical melody throughout.
