In the Games Corner – MEMORY CARD EDITION – When Tomb Raider 2 Was Scary…

Welcome to a new sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Tomb Raider 2.

I was very young when the game Tomb Raider 2 came out, definitely under 10 years old but it was a very popular game and I sure that we got it with our Playstation. As a kid I found it pretty scary, the only level I really enjoyed playing was the first one (even though the tigers used to scare me when they jumped out) it as always such an amazing feeling to complete this level as I found it pretty hard at that age. Another thing that I loved doing was the house and locking the butler in the freezer (I mean that is what everyone did right?)

One thing I have a strong memory of as a kid is watching mum play it and me jumping all the time a killer popped out. It was so exciting and great fun. The level that really sticks out in my head is the Venice level as it was so unique and a thrill and brings back great memories. The thrill of waiting for the enemies to pop out and trying to work out the next way to go in the levels always felt like such an adventure.
