There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
There She Goes – The La’s
This is a song that feels weird to be putting in this article as you probably recognise it as the intro and the musical interludes have been used so many times in adverts, television shows, films – you name it! Well today we take a look at the song There She Goes by The La’s.
There She Goes was released by English Rock Band The La’s on the 31st October 1988. It was written by Lee Mavers, produced by Bob Andrews and released under the record label of Go! Discs. The song doesn’t actually have any verses, instead it is a mixture of a single chorus that is repeated four times and a bridge.
The first time this song was released it failed to actually chart however the song was remixed for 1990 and went into the UK charts at number 13. The song has sold over 600,000 copies in the UK and has received a platinum certification.
The single like I stated at the beginning has been featured in many different types of media content and soundtracks including Fever Pitch, Girl Interrupted, So I Have Married An Axe Murderer and Gilmore Girls to name a few.
