Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
GIANT CHEESE WEDDING CAKE
It’s one of the most important days of your life however you don’t just want your average cake at the ceremony, you want something unique, striking and different. Well, maybe today’s Taste Of State can be of an assistance. In February of 2019 Costco made an announcement that they were starting to sell Giant Cheese Wedding Cakes. The product is created by Sid Wainer & Sons Cheese Lover Artisan Wedding Cake.
The cake is five tiered with different flavours including Red Leicester, Danish Blue, Murcia al Vino, Tuscan Sheeps Cheese and Brillat Savarin Triple Cream Brie. The Cheese Wedding Cake weighs 24 pounds in total – that’s a whole lot of cheese! The Wedding Cake comes in a box and you have to assemble the cake yourself. To have a Cheese Wedding Cake you could for $439.99.
The Cheese Wedding Cake could apparently serve 105-150 people. Apparently to give it the wedding feel you should decorate it with flowers or ribbons. The only question I have is does it come with biscuits for guests??
