Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Tonight’s Today

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Tonight’s Today – Jack Peñate

There was a time when this weeks singer was always in the charts and released a lot of singles in a small amount of time. Today we look at the single that I think sort of defines this musicians style.

Tonight’s Today was released the 30th March 2009, it was written by the singer himself and released under the record label Young Turks / XL Recordings. According to an interview that Jack Peñate did about the song, it is about how addictive fun could be when nothing seems to matter.

The song did ok in the charts and went in the UK Charts at number 23. Out of all of his singles I liked this one the most because of the guitar riffs and the distinct sound.
