Forgotten Songs! – This Week – I Hate This Part

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

I Hate This Part – The Pussycat Dolls

They are a girl band that are probably one of the biggest from America I recent times. They are known for their raunchy music videos and sexy dance routines that sometimes the slower songs get forgotten which is a shame because some of them are fantastic. Today’s music is a song that I love and felt it was time to bring it back to life.

I Hate This Part was released on the 14th October 2008. It was off the Pussycat Dolls second album Doll Domination. The song was apparently originally planned to be released on Nicole Scherzingers solo project but it got cancelled so it ended up on the bands album. The song was written by Wayne Hector, Lucas Secon, Jonas Jerberg and Mich Hansen. The track was released under the record label of Interscope.

The song did really well In the charts and reached the top 10 in many countries including Austria (7), Belgium (5) Canada (2) Czech Republic (3) France (3) Hungary (5) and even Venezuela (4). In the UK the single was just shy of the top 10 and reached number 12 in the chart. Saying that the single still got silver certification.

I always liked this song, I loved the drama, the emotion and the piano in it. I think it is one of the bands most underrated singles.
