Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Hard To Beat

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Hard To Beat- Hard Fi

Today we look at a song by an Indie Rock group that did really well in the charts. Hard To Bear was released by the group Hard Fi on the 20th June 2005. It was written by Richard Archer and produced by Wolsey White and Richard Archer, it was released under the record label Warner Music.

The track Hard To Beat was from the bands album Stars of CCTV and was released as their third single. Apparently this song was one of the bands favourite tracks to perform live. The single went straight into the UK Charts at number 9 and stayed in the top 40 for 27 weeks. It also went into the charts in Germany (86), Netherlands (73) and the US Alternative Airplay Charts (34).

I remember this song when it was released in 2005, there was a huge influx of indie bands and this song was one of the catchy tracks. It had a unique sound and was played a lot and whenever it was on you couldn’t help singing along.
