Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Crazy Chick

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Crazy Chick – Charlotte Church

Today we look at a single that apparently the singer wasn’t a fan of (Digital Spy, 1/10/2012) even though it did well in the charts. Crazy Chick was released as the lead singer from Charlotte Church’s fifth studio album Tissues and Issues. Crazy Chick was released on the 27th June 2005, it was written by Sarah Buras Wirlie Morris and Fitzgerald Scott.

The song was released under the record label Sony BMG and produced by Tore Johannson. The single did really well in the charts and reached number 2 in the UK Charts. The song also went into the top 40 in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Ireland.

I remember this song being around and it always confused me. Charlotte Church was known for Opera so when this pop related song came out it felt weird. I wasn’t really a fan of this song but I can understand why it did well as it is a catchy pop song.
