Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Cry For You

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Cry For You – September

This week we look at another dance track and this time it’s from the noughties. Cry For You was released by the Swedish singer September on the 29th November 2006.

Cry For You was written by Jonas Van der Burg, Anou Bhagavan and Niclas Von Der Burg, The song is apparently about the end of a relationship and appeared on many of her albums.

The single was a massive hit especially in Sweden where it went to number 6. The song went into the top 10 in a number of countries including the US, UK, Poland, Ireland, France and Austria just to name a few. In 2018 apparently it became a Twitter sensation when it got turned into a meme because of the lyrics.

I always used to like this song as I found it really catchy. I used to like the interesting introduction that was played alot so was always listening to it at times on my ipod.
