KFC CHICKEN & WAFFLES

They were on the menu before and were such a success that KFC decided to do something about it. In 2019, the brand excitedly announced to their fans on social media that there was to an epic return of their Chicken and Waffles in November of that year.

The product was originally released in 2018 but apparently KFC “underestimated how much love their would be for the meal.” There was two options available – the three piece chicken meal with a waffle and a side of Mrs Butterworth’s syrup for $6.99 or the Crispy Colonel Waffle sandwich for $5.99.

This time round with the Chicken and Waffles there was a different flavour that you could purchase called Nashville that was a seasoning that had the flavours of spicy and smokey that was a sort of sauce that when added it creates a different flavour to the syrup when they are both intertwined.

The Chicken and waffles was only around for a limited time but it was praised with positive reviews. People who reviewed it stated that the waffle sandwich has the right balance of spicy and sweet. They also said that the waffles are sweet and doughy. One reviewer states that it’s salty, fatty and savoury all on one plate.
