There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely. Well, we wanted an article to remember these tracks – whether they were huge hits or ones that are completely forgotten about, every Friday we want to relive the moments these songs came into our lives!
See You Again – Miley Cyrus
Today we look at a catchy little song that was released by Miley Cyrus early on in her music career. They song See You Again was so early on that it actually came from the second soundtrack album from the Disney Channel show Hanna Montana. Although this song is technically classed as her debut single.
See You Again was released on the 29th December 2007, it was written by Miley Cyrus, Antonia Armato, and Tim James, it was released under the record label of Hollywood. Originally Miley apparently wasn’t a fan of the song but when it was recorded she changed her mind. The song as musical influences of electronic, new wave and techno. The song did really well in the charts. It wen to number 11 in the UK charts, number 6 in Australia and number 4 in Canada just to name a few.
Whilst this song probably isn’t forgotten, I felt it was a good song to highlight. As an artist gets bigger you tend to forget about the songs that were the first tracks they released especially when you have someone like Miley who has changed her style dramatically.
The song is catchy is catchy once you are used to the style of it and it;s very unique composition. I always thought this song was ok, although I find it hard remembering that it is Miley as it is so different to what she is today.
