Media Madness – This Week – Dream Venue

Due to the popularity of Question Roulette the past few years, I thought it was time to jump to another book with lots of questions. This time the book is called Music Madness Mayhem – the book covers everything from film, television, music, and much more! So every week we will be covering questions from the book until we run out! I am not going to number them this time as I am going to be doing the book in a random order!

Topic of the week – Dream Venue

I have always loved going to to concerts, I love the energy and the adrenaline you get from seeing a band you love live. This weeks topic is all about creating your own venue and what would you want it to be like and this got me thinking. So this is all the things I would love from a dream music venue

Not Too Big

There is one thing that I prefer more then anything and that is a smaller venue, it means you feel automatically more connected to the band or artist and it is just an amazing experience. Every one of my favourite gigs of all time have been in smaller venues.

Great Views Wherever You Are

I don’t see the point of paying lots of money to see a band or musician if you cannot see them on the stage performing. One of the most important things for me is that you get a great view no matter where you are in the venue – so in hindsight it needs to be small so that you can see the band from any angle.

Fantastic Acoustics

It doesn’t matter if you have the best sized venue in the world with the most amazing view, if the acoustics are rubbish then the venue will be awful. When a venue has a bad sound it makes me so upset and it ruins the set of the band that you have come to see. The sound needs to be great that is one of the most important things.

Other Things

A few other things that would make a venue absolutely perfect include that it isn’t too cramped, doesn’t have sticky floors, doesn’t smell but if you take these away is it really a gig?
