Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Honey To The Bee

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Honey To The Bee – Billie Piper

Billie Piper is known nowadays to have a really successful acting career but before then she had a really great pop career and also at one point was the youngest person to ever go to number 1 in the UK Charts! Today we will be looking at one her singles.

Honey To The Bee was released on 22nd, March 1999. It was written by Wendy Page and Jim Moore and was also produced by them, too. The song was released under the record labels Innocent Records and Virgin.

The single did relatively well in the UK and it reached number three on the UK charts. It did not chart in Europe mainland, but ended up being one of Billie’s most popular songs in Australia and New Zealand. The song was released in 2003 by Swedish group play who featured it on the rap and on the third album as a cover.

I think personally this is one of my favorite least favorites, but she has had a lot of really catchy songs in her career before this song. I just used to find this song was really forgettable in the verses and the chorus becomes like a ear worm that once you listen to you get stuck into your head. The video though has some interesting 3D graphics though.
