Due to the popularity of Question Roulette the past few years, I thought it was time to jump to another book with lots of questions. This time the book is called Music Madness Mayhem – the book covers everything from film, television, music, and much more! So every week we will be covering questions from the book until we run out! I am not going to number them this time as I am going to be doing the book in a random order!
Topic of the week – Characters
I watch a lot of comedy and when you start to watch a lot of sitcoms you start to have favourites, ones that you are not keen on and others that you adore. It is amazing just how much fictional characters can have an impact on you. So here is a list of a few of those characters.
All time faves
I have adored Chandler since I was a kid, he was always my favourite Friends character. I used to find him funny and also the most underrated until obviously Monica happened then he became everyone’s favourite. I always liked he was the underdog and I always saw so many similarities between me and the character that i always related to him, My favourite Chandler is season 4 – it is the start of you seeing things between him and Monica and his character starts to sort of bloom at this time.
When you first meet Michael Scott you can’t stand him, he is so hard to relate to and your teeth stand on end a lot of the time. However saying that I do like Michael Scott’s character a lot when he starts to develop. Whilst he is embarrassing a lot of the time the main core of the character is he just wants to be liked, loved and adored. Again I feel a connection to the character as I see some things similar to myself – more so the parts when he is not being an idiot but it is a really layered character when you realy focus on him.
Love to Love
You cannot enjoy Friends without Loving Joey – it is such a silly character that it creates most of the humour. Joey character at times can be really ridiculous but at times some of the silliness is so hilarious I love the dancing episodes. Without Joey there would be no Friends.
A character that I find is really underrated in Friends is Paul Rudd’s character Mike – I find a lot of the scenes with him are hilarious and I really find them great. The piano part always makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I see it.
I only started watching The Middle from last year and it grew on me as I wasn’t a fan at first. The more I watch it the more I like Sues character – there are some things that happen to her that I can relate to (such as he first adapting to life at uni) and I really like how positive she is about everything in life.
Roy and Moss
I love the IT Crowd and I am a huge fan of Roy and Moss they both equally make me laugh a lot. When I was at university I was on an Interactive Media course and we were some of the first people I knew that used Twitter when it came around. Silly things like that make me laugh because it makes me relate to these characters about knowing stuff about computers others may not know.
Love to Hate
I never used to mind the word quirky until I came across Michael in Miranda and now he makes me hate it with a passion. Throughout a big majority of the show Miranda is single and her own individual however when she starts dating Michael he uses the word Quirky to define her in an ‘affectionate’ way. I personally don’t find it affectionate it is such a condescending way that he says it and it winds me up so much. You can notice how she changes throughout the relationship as well and tries to be more plain. Everything is wrong with this relationship.
