Ooh Laa
This is the opening song on the album and it has a really nice melodic sound to it that has an essence of summer to it. The bassline creates a really nice sound that makes it calming whilst also creating a really nice opening to the album. The lyrics may be simple but they are romantic and ooze of love.
One Life
This song is full of lots of soul and makes you want to get up and dance as it has a really nice rhythm to it. I can imagine this song being played live and bringing the place down. Just like the other song it has a real fresh summer vibe to it. The way that the music is constructed together it has an element to it that makes you get lost in it’s smoothness and puts a smile on your face.
Slow Cooker
This is a slower song on the album and is about halfway through and really reals you in because of the beautiful lyrics. Throughout the album you feel the elements of love and passion and this is one of those songs. It has a real soulful sound to it and on headphones it sounds really good. The breaks in the music throughout create a real emphasis on certain words and really brings you into this musical space.
Remember Us (feat Rapsody)
This song has a really nice introduction to it that is mellow whilst also very musically aesthetically pleasing. It is a song that is focussed on reminiscing on the past relationships and this feeling is reflected in the mood of the song. The piano melodies intertwine through a subtle drum beat and it creates a real summer time vibe.
Never Break
This is the last song on the album and it is focussed on the piano and John which is the way it should be and it brings the whole album to a great finale. The lyrics in this song are truly beautiful and it does feel like it has come out of a musical it has all the elements of a great song.
