Forgotten Songs! – This Week – It Must Be Love

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.

So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

It Must Be Love – Mero

Today we look at a song that was released by a duo you may not remember. Mero was formed of two members Deck and Tommy who were from Glasgow. It Must Be Love was the only single that was released by the group.

The song was released in 1999, it was released under the record labels BMG and BCA. It was written by James, McDonald, Samon and Clark and it was produced by Dave James.

A few years back, I came across this song as I was writing a Forgotten Pop feature about another group. When I came across this band again it was a huge hit of nostalgia.

The song has a fun pop style to it and when you listen to it you can really feel a sense of the nineties to it. When I listen to the song I hear elements of S Club 7 as they used a similar melody. It also has a huge feeling of summer to it.
