There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.
So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Here’s Where The Story Ends – Tin Tin Out
Today we look at a song that I didn’t even realise was a cover and I only noticed this when I went into research this song and it came up with the original by The Sundays first. Since I am unfamiliar with the original and my plan was to talk about the Tin Tin Out version, i am going to continue to do so. Although that the original version was released at the beginning of the nineties.
The Tin Tin Out was released on the 16th March 1998 and was released under the label of UK Recordings and Virgin Underground. Tin Tin Out was an electronic music duo and the song featured the vocals of Shelley Nelson.
The Tin Tin Out version did really well in the UK airplay charts and went straight into number 1, it also went to Number 7 in the UK charts.
I have never heard the original version of the song and have only ever heard the Tin Tin Out cover. I remember that this song was everywhere when I was a kid. Whenever the radio was on, you could guarantee at some point this song would come on in the hour. The song I always found was OK, it is one of those songs that when it plays you can sort of zone out from it.
