Due to the popularity of Question Roulette the past few years, I thought it was time to jump to another book with lots of questions. This time the book is called Music Madness Mayhem – the book covers everything from film, television, music, and much more! So every week we will be covering questions from the book until we run out! I am not going to number them this time as I am going to be doing the book in a random order!
Topic of the week – Dream Interviews
I love interviewing people, I think it is a great way to really get to understand a person and also it is something I have always enjoyed doing. My earliest memory of interviewing someone was when I was a kid and I sent in a question to Top Of The Pops website and Billie Piper answered it – I have it printed out somewhere, it made me so excited to have my name online and the fact that a celebrity or a huge popstar at the time had answered my question, it was like my two worlds colliding – this dreamlike ‘Hollywood’ style place for me (musicians have always been in this magical style place for me) and my little ole world! Another early memory I have is of Tess Daily saying my name on SM:TV Live and asking popstar Darius a question from me. I was watching, wasn’t expecting it to happen and it blew my mind.
Even now, I get excited when celebrities or musicians answer my questions – Murr From Impractical Jokers answered one of my questions on live chat on Instagram that was awesome. One of the most surreal interviews I have ever done was doing a Skype interview with Josh Ramsay from Marianas Trench as he is such a music inspiration and it was such a fantastic experience. So here are a list of other people I would love to interview.
Jim Carrey – I have found Jim a hero of mine since I was a kid, I think it would be fascinating and also insanely surreal to sit down and interview this comedy genuis. I watched an interview with him the other day on Conan where he asked him to draw whilst he spoke and I thought it was one of the most purest and calmest interviews I have seen with him and would love to see more like that. Even if it was an interview with Jim being larger then life, I think it would be amazing.
Conan O’Brien – Talking about Conan, I am a huge fan of his, I think his chat show is entirely underrated and I honestly think that some of the things that they do on his show are far ahead of any of the American chat shows. I find Conan such an interesting character, and I would love to interview such a characteristic person. I adore watching him when he is with animals as he has this way of being completely animated and really becoming like a cartoon version of that creature. I think sitting in a room and interviewing him about his career would be fascinating.
Tom Delonge – There is only one real reason I would really love to interview Tom Delonge and that is because he is my hero. I find him such an inspiration and I find it amazing how he doesn’t let anyone tell him he can’t do something and heads to the stars to create new projects. I would love to sit down and have a conversation with Tom as there is so much to ask —- that would be though if I can actually get the words out in the first place!
Mindy Kaling – I find Mindy a fascinating person and I adore her books and reading about her work ethic and her way as a person lead me to have a huge respect for her. I really find Mindy an interesting and to sit down and have a conversation with her about the industry would be great to talk about.
