Welcome to a brand new feature that is going to be your regular Tuesday lunchtime article! Due to the popularity of Question Roulette the past few years, I thought it was time to jump to another book with lots of questions. This time the book is called Music Madness Mayhem – the book covers everything from film, television, music, and much more! So every week we will be covering questions from the book until we run out! I am not going to number them this time as I am going to be doing the book in a random order!
Topic of the week – Actors
Best on screen co-stars
Ok, so I thought I woudl write about on screen partnerships I have enjoyed watching – this isn’t the Oscars so you will judge my tastes of film but hey, I like comedy, musicals and action films so you have been warned!
Robert Downey Jnr and Chris Evans
I didn’t really want to include the Marvel universe in these answers but you actually have to when it comes to rapor on stage as it is so big, there are so many I can talk about (such a Hemsworth with Hiddleston ) but the one that is the key core of the whole franchise is the relationship between Iron Man and Captain America. Throughout all the films it builds up so well that it is such a great construction characters.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels
It may be one of the silliest comedies out there but you have to praise it for the comedy genius between the two lead actors. It is silly but done so well that no-one else could do it better then Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels. The one liners no-one else could of done as fantastic as them and that is why they made the list.
Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider
This is a bit of a random one but I felt they needed to be on the list – when I was a kid, we used to watch a lot of the Adam Sandler films and we started to notice that Rob would always pop up as a bit character so we made it a sort of game – spot the Rob – in every film that we watched with the comic.
Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman
Out of all the musicals, this is my favourite lead in this sort of film, the relationship that blossoms throughout this film is phenominal and creates a sense of magic and wonderment on the stage. Their singing voices compliment each other on stage and even all these years later it still is a great rapor.
Best Lead Roles
Jim Carrey – The Truman Show
I adore Jim Carrey but out of all the roles I have seen him in, The Trueman Show is by far the greatest. Jim is a fantastic comedy actor but when he is given a serious role he can really play it well. This film fascinated me the first time I saw it as I had never seen anything like it before and I was amazed by its creativity, darkness and message it was giving about media. (It is sort of amazing just how social media and reality television sort of has similar relation to this). I found Jim’s role inspirational and the part at the end wih the simple facial expressions – absolutely wonderful.
In a film about your life who woud you cast and why
Hmm…this is a really good question and it is one I constantly think about when I ask others the same thing. I honestly do not know, Zooey always comes to mind because she is very individual and quirky and her characters are always in a mind of their own. I am a daydreamer, I live in creativity and always think outside the box that is why I always think of Zooey.
I know it may not be a film that you associate with Inspirational Role but I think in some ways this book and this film played a big pat in who I am today. It is the reason that inspired me to keep diaries, it also I think played a part in me wanting to work in the media and television.
Most Convincing Roles
Leonardo DiCaprio – Wolf of Wall Street
I don’t usually watch these sort of films but there was so much praise for Leos role in this film that when it went to Netflix I made the effort to watch it. It was amazing just how well Leo played the role and he really deserved an Oscar for this – his legs when he tries to get into the car is the funniest and such great acting.
