The Phoenix Remix Live! – INTERVIEW – Mariana Feijó

On the 14th January, The Phoenix Remix is hosting it’s first ever live show and over the next few weeks we sit down with some of the acts that are performing at the show to find out more about them and what they have in store for the audience. Today we talk to stand up comedian Mariana Feijó

New Project (5)

Hello tell us about yourself and three unknown facts!

Probably all facts about me are unknown! I’ve recently read that during the witch hunts, they’d identify witches by unusual protrusions on their skin. I have a 3rd nipple, a protrusion next to my ear I was born with and a whole lot of skin tags…I would definitely have been burnt at the stake!

You are performing at the first ever Phoenix Remix Live how are you feeling about it?

Looking forward to it and to see how you’ll pull out a show based on a website.

What do you have in store for the audience as part of your set?

I’ll probably be telling you all about my worries. Don’t worry, it’s humorous!

Why did you decide to do the show?

I used to write for the Phoenix Remix, and playing a show in support of a charity is always positive.

What are some of your favourite parts of the Phoenix Remix website and why?

The comedy sections as that’s my job.

How do you warm up for a Show?

I just try to disconnect from the day and get connected to myself.

How do you get inspiration for the jokes you write?

Most of my jokes are based on things that happened to me, things I’ve done or my upbringing.

It is the month of January what are your new years resolutions for your comedy this year?

Just planning to keep on doing it consistently!

The show is also raising money for charity Arts 4 Dementia – why should people donate?

It’s the new year. It’s a good way to start it with a positive action.

If people want to find out more about you where can they find you on social media?

I’m @marianasbits on Instagram and Twitter

Three words why people should come to Phoenix Remix Live?

Laughter, support, positivity
