dole wjhipFor today’s Taste of States we are heading to a Theme Park and having a look at a drink that is availbale and actually ties into a film that is being released very soon – Frozen 2. Disney Springs is a shopping area located in Florida near the Theme parks of Disney – it is home to 104 shops, 60 dining locations and 25 experiences.

Marketplace Snacks is one of the places that you can dine and it is home to a lot of food and snacks that are Disney themed and one of the most recent additions is to celebrate the release of Frozen 2 – Olaf Dole Whip Slushie.

So first of all lets go into what Dole Whip actually is because for English readers it may not be a terminology that you have heard very often, I know it was one that I hadn’t heard. When I read into it, I realised that dole whip is basically soft serve dairy free frozen ice cream that was created by the company Dole Food Company in 1986.

So lets have a look at the version that is on offer at Disney Springs. The Olaf Dole Whip Slushy is made up of vanilla soft serve ice cream that has been placed on top of a blue raspberry slush with chocolate chip buttons. To make this drink extra special and Frozen related there is an edible Olaf on top to make it magical.

The drink was only released very recently,  so there is hardly any reviews on what the drink / dessert actually tastes like but we do know it costs $6.99 to buy.
