Off The Record – ALBUM FOCUS -Libertad 548, Pitbull

Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first!  Today we look at the latest album of Mr 305 –  Pitbull, Libertad 548

Cinco de Mayo (feat Lil John and Cheshca )

This song is really catchy and the beat in it sort of intertwines the style that Pitbull is known for with a new uptempo beat that brings it into a modern environment. There is a high electronic sound that intertwines around when the beat drops and it creates a real party vibe in the song. Part of the song is in enough and the other part isn’t but again it highlights and celebrates his roots whilst also creating a more party-esque vibe. Also lil John is known for a heavier style of music so again it feels like his style influenced this song as well. Also the parts where Chesca sing also create a fun vibe to this song. A tune that will make you want to dance.

Get Ready (feat Blake. Shelton)

This song samples an old song on the top of my head I can’t think what it is but as soon as it opens you will hear it and will sound familiar it is also used constantly throughout. The song features country music star Blake Shelton so it makes sense that it has a guitar style and a hint of Country to this dance hit. If you liked the Kesha song you will like this

Me Quedaré Contigo ( feat Ne-Yo, Lenier and El Micha )

If you listen to pitbull albums then this musical melody will sound familiar as a few songs follow this tune. It is weird that this song does not have an Enrique Iglesias song where he features and this song feels like this would of been his. The acoustic guitar both compliments and highlights the beat and creates a lovely tune where it hihhkughts the Spanish lyrics

Winning (feat Yomil Y El Dany)

This song has a darker beat then the rest of the album and I had to double take when I listened as it feels like it belongs more on a rap album then a pitbull album, whilst this is a different style for Pitbull it suits him but I would say stick to the dance music. It’s great as a one off but if pitbull did this as a music career it would not stand up.
