Question Roulette – Technology Based ‘Deaths’

Three years ago I bought a book in Tampa which is meant to be a great for creative like minds and for the past three years I have made it my New Years Resolution to complete it. The book is called 642 Things To Write About by The San Francisco Writers Grotto. I never got round to writing many of them so what’s a better way then getting through them then writing a few as an article each week! Enjoy.

‘How are you today?’
‘ I am good thank you how are you?’
‘ Good thank you, what are your plans for the day?’
‘ I am going shopping, how about you?’
‘Probably relaxing as it has been a busy week’

576. How is hand held technology affecting public social behavior and interaction in the public space? How has it impacted everyday street life and our ability to meet and deal with strangers?

 + Everyone is on their phone
+ You talk and at some point a phone will come out and interrupt that
+ Noone looks where they are going
+ Dating is only ever done these days through an app
+ Ordering food is becoming anti-social
+ Everything is a photo opportunity for an app
+ People use photos to take photos of strangers to bitch about them
+ Noone talks to anyone
