The Games That Time Forgot – Shrek: Swamp Kart Speedway, Game Boy Advance

In 2002, Gameboy Advance was welcomed to a brand new game called Shrek: Swamp Kart Speedway. The game was published by TDK and was similar to the game play of Mario Kart. The aim of the game is to race around a number of different tracks that are based on Shrek locations from the film.

In the game you can play as Shrek, Fiona, Three Blind Mice, Gingerbread Man, The Three Little Pigs and many more. You also can unlock a number of characters including Donkey, Lord Farquard, Big Bad Wolf and Monsieur Hood. The aim of the game is to race around different race tracks and try and win the race – you also have to try and stop your opponents by putting traps on the track on the way round.

This game received really bad reviews because of how much it ripped off Mario Kart. Also people thought that the music was poor, the controls were really unfriendly and the graphics were really bad.
