When you find yourself in Bourton-On-The-Water in Gloucestershire you should pop by Birdland and have a look around the wildlife park. It was originally opened in 1957 and then moved to it’s current location in 1989. The park contains over 500 birds including Penguins, pelicans, cranes, storks and much more to name a few. The park also receives on average around 73,000 visitors annually.
The park is reasonably priced – it is just under £10 for an adult and just under £7 for children. The tickets allow you to enter in and out of the park all day. If you are wanting to have annual member ship then you only need to pay a tenner more to enter free all year.
As well as getting up and close to a variety of birds you can also go to the hatchery as well to keep an eye on eggs that are ready to hatch.
The park is not just home to birds, there is also an area that is dedicated to Dinosaurs called Jurassic Journey. You can take a walk through the area and visit and explore some of the historic creatures that lived in this time.
So the next time you are in the Cotswolds and you are wanting something that little bit touristy to do, give this place a try.
