Three years ago I bought a book in Tampa which is meant to be a great for creative like minds and for the past three years I have made it my New Years Resolution to complete it. The book is called 642 Things To Write About by The San Francisco Writers Grotto. I never got round to writing many of them so what’s a better way then getting through them then writing a few as an article each week! Enjoy.
464. Jame Joyce said that a man’s errors are his portals of discovery. What mistakes have led to epiphanies for you?
I think sometimes you find the best discoveries when you make a mistake, especially when you work at pace to fast turn around deadlines like I do. I usually come across the best editing tools after a mistake.
465. Write a letter to a child explaining how to do one thing.
Dear Child,
To take a photos with a real camera (not a phone), you take off the lens cap, turn it on, look through the small hole and then press the black button on the top.
466. A translator doesn’t want to translate what she’s just been told.
I don’t want to translate – Thats all I do, I am not respected for who I am all i do is speak other peoples words. I like working for her highness but it would be nice to be appreciated at times. I am a person, I have needs, I never get thanked. So I am going on strike.
