Forgotten Pop! – This Week – No Mercy

Today we look an an American band that had a hit song in the UK in the nineties. No Mercy was a band formed of Marty Cintron, Ariel Hernandez and Gabriel Hernandez. Even though they were American, they were formed by a producer in Germany.

Their first single was released in 1995 was called Missing and it was a cover of the 1994 hit by the band Everything But The Girls. The song went to number 17 in the UK but went to Number 1 in Austria. Another single that they released was Where Do You Go which was the highest single they had in the UK (at number 2).

In 1996 they released their debut album called My Promise or No Mercy (depends on where you were located in the world as to what it was called.) The album went platinum two times in Australia. It also went into the top 5 in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

Their second album was released in 1998 and was called More and included such singles as Hello How Are You, More Then A Feeling and Tu Amor. The album was not as successful as the debut however it still did well in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
