It is coming to the end of the year which means that we are going to start looking at some of the albums that have been released over the past 12 months. Just like the regular version of this article we are only going to look at album tracks. Some we have mentioned in snippets before or even reviewed but some we haven’t even mentioned! Some we will not mention as we have done Off The Record articles on them recently. Today we look at an album that was released in March of this year – Palo Santo, Years and Years

Hallelujah

This song is very interesting it has a new fresh musical melody that is really addictive. It is an uplifting melody and really enchants the brain. The drum beat through out is the absolute highlight.

Karma

The thing that I really like about this song is the strings that are used throughout. It creates a sort of melodic and smooth rhyme that makes it a Lovely melody to the ears. The chorus has a really fun and funky feel to it and it really compliments Ollys voice.

Rendezvous

The thing that instantly stands out with this song is the drum beat. It is sort of tribal mixed with dance. The song excels to another level when the trumpets come in on the chorus. It feels like a song of celebration.

Palo Santo

It’s the title of the album and it is sort of one of the power tracks of the album. It has some really great lyrics which really sort of highlight the album themes. The chorus is wonderful as well.
