The Games That Time Forgot – Ski Air Mix, Playstation 1

Screen Shot 2018-12-13 at 15.28.54Since Christmas is just around the corner, I thought this week it would be good to look at a winter based game. Ski Air Mix was an alpine skiing video game that was released on Playstation One in 1998. The game was developed by KID and was published by Midas Interactive Entertainment.

The game follows a similar format to most sport games in that you are competing in various skiing competitions. In the game you travel to a number of different locations including Italy, Austria, Japan and Switzerland.  In the game you have an option to play as either two women or two men and throughout the game you can collect a number of different ski designs.

The game offers two variety of game modes – the first one is single player and most of the time you are racing against the clock. The second is versus mode where you race against others.

The problem that people had with this game was that it was made on the cheap – this means that it is done of the budget and it means that there are a lot of failures in it. The problem gamers had with this game was that it is highly simple and can have a lot of bugs at times.
