It is coming to the end of the year which means that we are going to start looking at some of the albums that have been released over the past 12 months. Just like the regular version of this article we are only going to look at album tracks. Some we have mentioned in snippets before or even reviewed but some we haven’t even mentioned! Some we will not mention as we have done Off The Record articles on them recently. Today we look at an album that was released in August of this year – Love Yourself: Answer, BTS
This so the first song on the album and it has a pop sound to it mixed with a more shuttle dance mix to it. There is only one English word throughout but that is not a bad thing as it has all the elements to a good song which will mean you will enjoy it regardless
This song is very catchy and has a really interesting melody to it and it easy to like it. The piano intertwining through the song really brings together the creative melody.
I know there are a lot of BTS fans and I am sorry if my next comment insults you but it is how I feel listening to them the first time. A lot of the music on this album reminds me of the music that was around in the late nineties and early noughties in United Kingdom and I feel the melodies are very similar to those pop r’n’b songs you heard at the turn of the century. Saying that, it is hot a bad thing as they are catchy and this song definitely is that and I can see why they have a huge following.
This song has a really nice intro and I love the instruments used as they are hardly used in western music and it really stands out and creates something incredibly unique. This song is sort of a rap style based song and it is actually a really good listen.
This song has a really heavy bass as it’s introduction and that is a good thing as it turns into a really funky song. I like the second half of the album more then he first as i can hear cultural influences where as I find the first half is very westernised. This is a very good song, a great musical concept on the bridge leading into a very fun chorus.
