Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first!  Today we look at an old album because sometimes it is fun to look at ones from the archive. Today we look at a brand new album that was released only yesterday, Olly Murs – You Know I Know

Love Me Again

This song has a guitar riff that pulls you in with its interesting melody. It is a sort of acoustic melody intertwined with the style of pop bass beat that is popular at the moment.

You Know I Know (feat Shaggy)

This song has a real feeling of a single to it, the fact that it has Shaggy on it as well means that it more then likely will be. It has an addictive chorus and a very jolly melody that means it has potential. The light electronic sound throughout makes it an addictive melody and connotes a sense of steel drums.

Somebody New

This song is a good song and is also a very good Olly Mur’s track. Again the acoustic guitar makes an appearance but a lot of Olly’s best tracks have this effect and it works so well. The lyrics and the beat that sounds like clapping makes it a very great track.

Take Your Love

This song is one of the best tracks on the album, it has a really uplifting music melody and an electronic jingle throughout the song that is really entertaining and reminds essences of older Olly tracks

Maria

This song has an essence of Spanish flamenco to it and when I say that I mean that it’s very lightly spread but sets up the melody for the song. Whilst the lyrics are simple the melody makes it quite a catchy song.

Footsteps

Out of the whole album I think this is the best song on the album as it is so different. The song is a different rhythm to a lot of this album and also feels sort of fresh. The talking that happens throughout also makes it very different.
