Let’s Talk About…A Book I Like and A Book I Do Not Like

This month we are talking about a different topic every day to sort of bring you variety and to maybe even start a discussion at the end of each article. All the topics have been researched and been taken off of other 30 day challenges.

lets talk

When I saw this topic I knew I was going to have problems – not because I didn’t know what to talk about but because I read so much and trying to choose just one book! I read alot, I really enjoy doing it as it makes commutes feel shorter and also it is really relaxing. I had a long hard thought about what book to talk about and then thought about it that the only one thats worth talking about is one that has taken forever to be turned into a film and is one I predicted years ago would be – welcome to the world of Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella.

This book is about a woman who spills all her secrets to a random stranger on a plane when she thinks she is going to die and it is just bad turbulence. Long story short she finds out that it’s one of the CEOs and he uses her secrets against her. In a rom com style of way not a thriller sort of way.

It is a really good book and it’s so fun that it is a really good read and definitely one of the best rom com books on the market and when you read it, you can imagine it being turned into a film so it is good that it finally is having that treatment – however I do hope that they do not ruin the actual story as it is so well written.

Now, since we are talking about a rom com book i like I think it is only fair that I write about one that I cannot stand and that is PS I Love You by Celia Ahern. So many people rave about this book and say it is amazing but I personally disagree. I do not like the book, it is so miserable and I found it such a mission to read. Funnily enough, I preferred the film to the book and that HARDLY happens with me. The ending is so much better in the film then the book.

What is a book that you like and do not like and why?
