Today we look at a music career of someone who has had a really successful acting career in Coronation Street and has been given really great stroylines over the years. She was part of the pop group Hear’Say and she had a small segment in her life as a solo career. Today we look at the music career of Kym Marsh.
Back in the early noughties Kim left Hear’Say and signed a solo contract with Island Records. In April 2003 she released her debut single called Cry – which went straight into the charts at number 2. The song received a lot of positive reviews from the critcs. She released her second single in July 2003 called Come On Over and it went into the charts at number 10 in the UK and number 11 on the Irish chart.
Kim released her debut album Standing Tall in July 2003 and it reached number 9 in the UK charts. Even though the album did well in the charts it is actually the third single that was make or break for Kim and sadly it was break. The single Sentimental only reached number 35 in the charts and this meant that she was dropped by her record label. Don’t feel too sad for Kim though as she is doing really well in the world of soap land. So let’s have a look at her.
