About the Show
Back in the early to mid nineties the world was welcomed to the wacky world of Shooting Stars where the normal comedy panel show rules went completely out of the window. The show was hosted by comedy duo Vic and Bob and points were awarded for the correct answer but on this game the correct answer could be anything from the normal to the damn right bizarre.
Each week each team captain, Ulrika Johnsson and Mark Lamarr were joined by an array of guests including Johnny Vegas, Zoe Ball, Stephan Fry and Les Dennis who would take part in a number of rounds. The rounds were ‘Dove From Above’ ‘Impressions Round’ ‘Film Clip Round’ and Final Round. The scores were kept by George Doors aka a young Matt Lucas. The show ended in 1997 however it returned from 2009 with majority of the original lineup returning apart from Matt Lucas and Lamarr. The relaunch was to celebrate 15 years, it proved successful that it was commissioned for a whole series.
