About the Show
The show was originally the basis of a show that was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 by Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon. There are two teams that compete against each other on this show – the captains of each team are Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon. Each week the team captains are joined by a variety of guests to take part in all of the games that lie ahead. Some of the guests include Marcus Brigstocke, Bob Mortimer, Russell Howard, Dave Gorman, Sara Pascoe, Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe just to name a few.
In each of the episodes the teams play a variety of computer games – whether they are old and retro to the new and modern and compete to win the points of that round. The winner of each show is who scores the most points after the five rounds. Each round has a different theme:
Round 1 – Classic Game round
Round 2 and 3 – A favourite game from both of the guests
Round 4 – A modern indie game
Round 5 – A humorous take on a game.
The game show is also interactive as the audience can vote prior to each round who they think will win the game they are about to play. The percentage ends up being converted to points if that team wins.
