Today we look at a boyband that was not formed in the regular way instead it was created by a television show on MTV in 2006 – today we look at the work of Upper Street.

Everyone likes a new boyband and what could be better then a boyband that was formed with some of the biggest ex members of other pop groups? Back in 2006 MTV produced a television show called Totally Boyband which was based around the format of bringing back ex members of bands to make the ultimate boyband.

The group was made up of a variety of musicians including Dane Bowers (Another Level) Jimmy Constance (911) Lee Latchford-Evans (911) Bradley McIntosh (S Club 7) and Danny Wood (New Kids On The Block).

Before the band even released a single Lee quit the band due to fights within the band and he felt some people were two faced. The first and only single the band released was called The One. There was so many predictions and expectations for the single to be a success but it wasn’t.

The single entered the charts at number 35 in the U.K. Charts due to this lack of interest another single wasn’t released. In November 2006 there was announcement that the band split up. So let’s have a look at their only single today.
